Dear Parishioners,
The Catholic Church has been spending the last 40 days preparing our hearts and souls for this very moment, Holy Week. Jesus voluntarily enters Jerusalem, The City of Peace, to sacrifice himself for our salvation.
It’s very common for people to sacrifice somebody else to keep themselves safe. Jesus is about to do something opposite: He will give up himself – his very own life.
I’d like to invite you to be a part of our liturgies on Thursday at 7:00 pm as we celebrate the installation of the Eucharist and Priesthood and on Friday at 7:00 pm as we celebrate The Passion of our Good Shepherd.
These days are very unique and should show us how beautiful Jesus’ love is for us.
I hope that this upcoming week will be really Holy for us. Please, try to avoid distractions as much as possible and spend some extra time in prayer and meditation. May Jesus’ sacrificial love touch our hearts and break everything that isn’t holy in us.
